THE CONTEMPORARY ARTS CENTER & THE NOCCA INSTITUTE PRESENT

7 DAYS OF PARADISE

A WORLD-PREMIERE THEATRICAL PERFORMANCE AT NOCCA, FEBRUARY 15-16

JANUARY 16, 2008 (New Orleans) - The Contemporary Arts Center and The NOCCA Institute are pleased to co-present 7 Days of Paradise as part of The NOCCA Institute's Center Stage Series and the CAC's Music of New Orleans Series. This exciting world-premiere theatrical performance takes place on Friday, February 15, and Saturday, February 16, at 8pm in NOCCA's Freda Lupin Memorial Hall, located at 2800 Chartres Street.

Tickets are $20 for general admission, $18 for students and seniors, and $15 for CAC and NOCCA Institute members. Tickets are available in advance by visiting NOCCA.com or by calling 504 940 2900. Pending availability, tickets may also be purchased at the door.

7 Days of Paradise is a dynamic performance, blending elements of opera, theatre, dance, and film. The work is based on New Orleans artist Jeffrey Cook's experiences of being in New Orleans the seven days after Hurricane Katrina hit the city. Cook and Leah Chase star in the performance, which is written and directed by Harold Sylvester (An Officer and a Gentleman, Married with Children) and features music by composer Jay Weigel, with choreography by Diogo DeLima and Gregory Schramel.
