Mar. 4, 2014 : My wife and I booked your Hotel from Panama City Beach Florida on Sun. Feb 16th for Tues. Feb 18 and Wed. Feb 19th . We understood that there was no cancellation allowed. On Mon.evening Feb 17th we were informed that my wife's father had a heart attack and was in hospital in St Catharines Ontario Canada. My wife phoned the hotel to notify them of our cancellation and asked if they might waive the "no cancellation" due to the circumstances. We headed home the next day arriving Feb 20th. My father in law died Feb 21st. Today we received our Master Card bill showing that you had reimbursed our hotel deposit. Just wanted to let you know how grateful we are for your very kind gesture .If we ever get back to New Orleans we will definitely stay at your hotel. Feb. 27, 2014 : My sister & I thoroughly enjoyed our stat with you. We both commented that we had no complaints at all. It's rare to find that in a hotel. I have a friend travelling to New Orleans in March and recommended Maison Dupuy to her. She made reservations for her stay as well. I know she will be pleased! I definitely will stay again in the future.
Feb. 25, 2014 : “My family the Fischers/Fadgens have been staying in your hotel since it opened in the 70's. My parents moved back to New Orleans a few years after the hotel opened and they probably was in the bar almost everyday until my Dad died in 2/99. They would stay at the hotel for Mardi Gras every year and had many parties over the years at the hotel with lots of guests from out of town staying at the hotel including themselves. They would take suite 221 for the parties and room 237 for their other visits. The mural in the bar when it was repaired in 1986 by Teresa Norris was watched carefully by both of them. Teresa was kind enough to paint my dad's face over the man standing at the bar looking over his shoulder at the lady in pink with the black mask. My mother loved to tell everyone my dad was painted on the wall in the Masion Dupuy. We were told by several people that you all were going to renovate the hotel soon. If the wall must go which is progress is there anyway our family could be given that little piece of our history. Larry with food & beverage and Marvin in the garage know exactly where his face is. We have known both of them for many years.
