For An Authentic French Quarter Experience…
Treat yourself to the very best of New Orleans.
Dozens of hotels carry French Quarter addresses, but few New
Orleans hotels can claim the rich heritage of the Maison Dupuy.
Our hotel is nestled within the Vieux Carre, or “Old
Square,” the original seven square blocks along the Mississippi
River established as the French Quarter in 1722. No new hotel
rooms have been permitted in this exclusive region of New Orleans
since 1972.
Don’t settle for one of countless hotels crammed at
the edge of the French Quarter in the “Rope Walk” area
of New Orleans. For accommodations within the true heart of
French Quarter, choose the Maison Dupuy.
For A Distinguished New
Orleans History…
The Maison Dupuy has long stood as a prominent landmark of
New Orleans.
Our French Quarter hotel was built on the site of the nation’s
first cotton press, constructed by New Orleans’ first
elected mayor, John Pitot, in 1602.
Eventually, two brothers, Clarence and Milton Dupuy, purchased
the site and transformed seven town homes into their magnificent
family residence.
The Maison Dupuy, or “House of Dupuy,” soon became
the most elegant housing in the French Quarter, and continues
to maintain the largest and most beautiful courtyard in the
Vieux Carre.
For Unparalleled French Quarter Charm…
The modern history of this French Quarter hotel continues
to resonate with distinction.
- In 2000, the hotel received the French
Quarter’s highest
honor for its Christmas Décor.
- 2002 Conde Nast Gold List.
- 2002 Zagat’s (Top 15 New Orleans Hotels)
- Today, after recently completing a $5 million renovation,
the Maison Dupuy remains one of the finest boutique hotels
in New Orleans.
