Get Ready for America's Greatest Party! Check out the Mardi Gras Parade Schedule

Posted on: January 10, 2012 | Posted in: New Orleans Events and Festivals

Mardi Gras is quickly approaching so grab your beads and get ready for some fun.  Even though Mardi Gras doesn't begin until February 21st, the multitude of celebrations and parades start much earlier.  To find out when and where to go, view this year's Mardi Gras parade schedule. The parades kick off on February 4th, 2012 with the Krewe du Vieux parade in the French Quarter.  Krewe du Vieux is an adult themed parade that uses hand or mule drawn floats accompanied by jazz musicians and dancers.  For all the parades and Mardi Gras events, everyone is encouraged to wear costumes or at least dress in Mardi Gras colors of purple, green and gold!
