Congrats, Mr. & Mrs. Alex Minney
“I fell in love with the fountain, the lighting, and the intimacy of the courtyard,” gushed Lacee Minney of Maison Dupuy.
The fairytale romance began on New Year’s Eve. Lacee Raybon and Alex Minney met in Marksville, Louisiana where they were both watching the alligator ball drop. She was living in Baton Rouge at the time and he was in Alexandria. Fifteen months later, Alex proposed at the same spot the happy couple had their first official date in Lafayette.
“I don’t understand why everyone doesn’t have their wedding in New Orleans.” With out-of-town guests in mind, New Orleans was an obvious wedding location choice. “All of my husband’s family and friends were coming from California. I thought it would not only be the perfect place to get married but a good vacation spot for them as well.”
She loved the luxury of having everyone under one roof when it came time for her special day. From the décor to the service, she fell in love with Maison Dupuy. “I also loved that you guys handled everything for me and the things you didn’t handle, you gave me great references to get it done.”
Her favorite part: the dancing! She said all she wanted for her wedding was for all of her loved ones to come together and have fun; everyone did just that. Although she and Alex didn’t really get a chance to eat, everyone raved about the food especially the grits and mac-and-cheese bar! Their wedding cake, made by Haydel’s, was to die for!
The bride and groom will enjoy reliving their memories for years through gorgeous photos taken by Natalie Mancuso.
Congrats, Mrs.& Mrs. Minney. May your marriage bring you many years of love and joy.
