The beer is green - on purpose and everyone becomes Irish this weekend in New Orleans. This is what is happening.

Friday - March 14 - Jim Monaghan's St. Patrick's Parade kicks off at 6pm starting and ending at Molly's on the Market. The parade meanders through the French Quarter spreading good cheer to all. Some are more cheerier than others.

Saturday - March 15 - Irish Channel Parade starts at 1pm in Uptown New Orleans. Put your green on and be prepared to catch flying cabbages, potatoes and carrots. Don't be surprised if you land a soap bar of Irish Spring. It's the luck of the Irish don'tcha know.

Sunday - March 16 - The Old Metairie St. Patrick's Parade gets rolling at 12pm. If you did not catch enough food items yesterday, this is the parade to see!

Monday - March 17 - St. Paddy's Day at the original Pat O'Brien's Bar. Festivities start at 4 pm. Come listen to the sounds of Groovy 7 and enjoy some green beer.

Good times will be had each day this weekend. Rooms are available at the Maison Dupuy. Just bring your green.....money that is.
