Weekly Roundup: Things to Do Thanksgiving Week
In New Orleans, we’re thankful for our gorgeous city with so many fun things constantly happening around town! This week is no exception. Check out the fun things happening in the Big Easy this week.
Monday Night Football: Saints vs Ravens:
Nothing says New Orleans like a little Saints action, and Sean Payton says this is the week the Saints season really starts! They take on the Baltimore Ravens at the Superdome at 7:30 p.m. The warm breezy weather makes it the perfect day to sit in our courtyard and sip some handcrafted cocktails or meander through the French Quarter before the game!
Canal Street Lighting: Tuesday, November 25
The French Quarter is getting into the Christmas spirit with the help of Downtown Development District. Stroll along Canal Street as the grand corridor lights up with more than 1 million lights. The festivities begin at 5:30 p.m. in front of Astor Crowne Plaza.
Pub Quiz Wednesday, November 26
Test your knowledge at the World War II Museum with trivia night, where you’ll be quizzed on an array of topics including WWII history. Players can take advantage of Happy Hour specials while you enjoy one round or all six! The competition kicks off at 6 p.m.
Bayou Classic Thanksgiving Day Parade Thursday, November 27
If you’re in town for Thanksgiving, join the French Quarter festivities. The Bayou Classic hosts a fun-filled parade in honor of the upcoming football game—from the Superdome to the French Quarter. The parade rolls through at 3:30 p.m.
Don't forget to head to the Bistreaux before or after the parade, where we'll have a Thanksgiving feast waiting for you!
Bayou Classic Saturday, November 29
New Orleans hosts the Grambling Tigers vs the Southern Jaguars in the 41st annual Bayou Classic. The exciting football event will be filled with food and drinks, and of course tailgating. Kickoff is at 1: 30 p.m. and tickets are on sale now.
