There are many exciting things to do in New Orleans this weekend and today is just the beginning. You don't have alot of money, you say? You are not sure where to go, you say. Well you found the right website. So you are on the right track. Here are just a few things to do for under $10 in New Orleans this weekend.

Today, Friday ... is a beautiful day. The sun is out, the wind is breezy and the humidity is low. Come walk aroung the French Quarter. Stop in at the Bistreaux at the Maison Dupuy Hotel. Ask Matthew to create his famous Bloody Mary for you and tell him to make it "To Go". Then head on down to the Mississippi River for some of the best people watching you can find. There is always live music playing in the streets.

Saturday is the 24th Annual Mirliton Festival. "What?" You say. A Mirliton is a pear shaped member in the squash family and here in New Orleans, it's just plain delish. So we have a festival for it. This year it is being held in the Brickyard in the Bywater. There will be music, food and hopefully a plant sale again. Cost is $5.00. Check out their website or facebook page.

Also on Saturday and Sunday is the 6th Annual Treme Gumbo Festival. This year it is being hosted in the Louis Armstrong Park from 11am - 6:30 pm. And it is FREE! Who says you cannot get free stuff anymore? Music, food, contests on best gumbo and kind of festival!

Sunday - the Who Dat Nation comes to town again. THe SUperdome will be rocking! This time the Saints will be playing the Dallas Cowboys....gggiiiiidddddeeeeeuuuupppp. Kick off is for 7:30 pm so there will be plenty of time for tailgating, walking in the Quarter, grabbing a few sippies in our Bistreaux. If you need a hotel room, the Maison Dupuy Hotel is the place to be.Give us a call at 800-535-9177.
